How do I order a product from the store?
Choose the product and add it to the cart, then complete your shipping details on the checkout page. You will receive an order confirmation message, and we will call you if needed.
What payment methods are available?
Cash on delivery is available for all governorates. You can also pick up from Al Qalam in Al-Khalifa.
How much does shipping cost and how long does it take?
Orders arrive within 3 to 5 business days. Shipping cost: Cairo and Giza 80 EGP, Alexandria and Beheira 85 EGP, the Delta and Canal 95 EGP, northern and central Upper Egypt 105 EGP, southern Upper Egypt, the Red Sea and Matrouh 115 EGP, New Valley and South Sinai 130 EGP.
Can I pick up my order from your location?
Yes, choose «Free pickup from Al Qalam» at checkout. The address: 10 Darb al-Labbana Alley, Citadel Square, Al-Khalifa — opposite the Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifa'i mosques. Opening hours: daily except Monday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Are the artworks on display original?
Handmade artworks are unique originals signed by their artists. Each artwork's specifications state the nature of the work (handmade, machine-made, or printed), the size, the materials and the artist's name.
Can I order a custom calligraphy artwork?
Yes, Al Qalam Studio offers custom artworks and the writing of names, ijazas, inscription bands for mosques, and visual identities. Request the service from the page The Studio.
How do I join the free courses?
Create a free account, then click «Start now» on the course page, and you will be able to follow the video lessons and track your progress. Browse Courses.
How do I book an in-person workshop?
Book from the Workshops & Courses section in the store. Workshops are held at the Al-Khalifa location, and you can ask about remote or one-to-one training via WhatsApp.
What is the return policy?
Unused products in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of purchase, subject to the conditions set out in Return & Refund Policy.
